Kerry D. Christoph

Mr. Christoph has concentrated his practice for the last twenty five years in construction-related litigation and transactions. The focus of his practice is the representation of property developers, general contractors, specialty contractors, real estate brokers and agents, involving disputes arising from all aspects of commercial and residential construction, from pre-construction consulting and contracting, disputes arising during the project, and through post completion disputes related to delay, inefficiency, and defective work. In addition, Mr. Christoph has extensive experience in construction indemnity related claims, as well as wrongful death, bodily injury and paralysis, professional liability, business contract and torts, and premises liability claims.

    • First chair for complete defense of property owner’s defect affirmative claims, and vindication of design build general contractor’s claims for underpayment.

  • Brentwood single family residence defect and fraudulent inducement litigation – three month jury trial.

    • Results – complete vindication of general contractor’s defense to alleged construction deficiencies and affirmative jury finding of fraudulent inducement in the sale of the residence, inclusive of punitive damages award.

  • Condominium defect litigation representing national general contractor – two- and one-half month jury trial.

    • Results – action resolved during jury deliberation for less than one third of plaintiff HOA’s demand.
