Professional Overview
Artak Mamikonyan represents general contractors, subcontractors, and owners on both public and private construction projects, combining his knowledge of the construction industry with his commitment to litigation. Growing up in a family of general contractors, Artak was frequently on construction sites and assisted with various projects, giving him firsthand insight into the practical realities and challenges of the industry.
Artak has extensive experience handling complex construction matters through all phases of litigation and arbitration, including pre-litigation dispute resolution, early case evaluation and strategic planning, law and motion practice, written discovery and depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and comprehensive trial preparation. He works closely with clients from the outset of a dispute to develop practical, cost-effective strategies tailored to the specific project and business objectives at issue.
In addition to construction litigation, Artak has experience in broader business litigation matters, including contract and easement disputes. That background allows him to approach each case with a comprehensive understanding of risk assessment, strategy, and effective resolution.
Before focusing on construction litigation, Artak defended public entities in a wide range of matters, including employment law, personal injury, and law enforcement liability. During law school, he focused his studies on civil litigation by completing the law school’s civil litigation concentration. He was also involved with the Armenian Law Students Association.
